What is SatPak?
SatPak is a focused Bitcoin wallet for iPhone. It can create or restore a wallet, import several Bitcoin credential formats, monitor watch-only wallets, and send or receive Bitcoin on mainnet.
Do I need to create an account?
You do not create a user profile with an email or username. The app does establish an anonymous backend session so supported synchronization and service requests can work; see the Privacy Policy for the exact data flows.
Is SatPak free? Are there hidden fees?
SatPak does not add a wallet fee to a Bitcoin transfer. Bitcoin network fees still apply and are shown before sending. Any App Store or third-party service terms remain separate.
Which networks are supported?
Bitcoin mainnet only. SatPak does not support altcoins, tokens, swaps, staking, Lightning, or testnet.
Is there an Android or desktop version?
The current App Store release is for iPhone. SatPak does not currently publish an Android or desktop edition.
Can I import a wallet I already have?
Yes. SatPak accepts 12-, 18-, or 24-word BIP39 recovery phrases with an optional passphrase; WIF, hexadecimal, Base64, Mini Key, and BIP38 private keys; and watch-only Bitcoin addresses, xpub/ypub/zpub keys, or supported single-signature descriptors.
Where are my private keys stored?
Wallet credentials are kept through iOS Keychain and app storage. Some discovery, synchronization, and payment-building flows send credential or signing material to SatPak services and Supabase. Review the Privacy Policy before importing or sending.
What happens if I lose my iPhone?
Restore the Bitcoin wallet on another compatible wallet using its recovery phrase or private key. If you enabled SatPak's optional iCloud Keychain and Passkey backup, that may also be available on a compatible Apple device. Keep an independent offline backup.
I lost my recovery phrase. Can you recover my wallet?
SatPak support cannot recreate a lost recovery phrase. Recovery is possible only from another valid credential or backup that you control. Never send a phrase or private key to support.
What if someone steals my phone?
Use the protections available on the device and enable SatPak's six-digit passcode, optional Face ID, and auto-lock. If compromise is possible, restore from a trusted backup on another device and move the funds to a newly generated wallet.
How does Face ID work in SatPak?
Face ID is an optional convenience for unlocking the app after the six-digit passcode is configured. iOS performs the biometric check; SatPak receives only the authentication result, not facial data.
Is the iCloud backup safe to use?
It is optional. SatPak uses Apple's iCloud-synchronized Keychain and Passkey system for this feature, so your Apple Account, device security, and iCloud settings are part of the security boundary. Keep a separate offline recovery phrase or private-key backup.
Can I paste a numbered or vertical recovery phrase?
Yes. The import field removes common numbering and normalizes line breaks and extra spaces before validating the words. Always review the normalized phrase before continuing.
What actually happens when I delete the app?
Deleting the app removes its local app data, but iOS Keychain items, an optional iCloud backup, and service-side records can have separate lifecycles. Remove wallets and backups from their respective controls first, and contact support for an applicable data request. Bitcoin transactions remain permanently public.
What data does SatPak collect about me?
SatPak processes an anonymous backend identifier, wallet and synchronization data, service responses, device or app context, and IP-derived network information. Some import and send flows can include wallet credentials or signing material. Read the Privacy Policy for the complete boundary.
So is my activity completely invisible?
No. Bitcoin transfers and addresses are public, and SatPak, Supabase, Electrum servers, pricing providers, and other contacted services can observe the requests they receive and associated network metadata.
Does SatPak ask for my age or identity?
The app does not present a conventional identity or KYC form. Eligibility and legal responsibilities are described in the Terms of Use.
Can I cancel or reverse a transaction?
A broadcast Bitcoin transaction cannot simply be reversed. An eligible unconfirmed transaction created with Replace-By-Fee may be replaced with a higher-fee transaction, but this is not a guaranteed cancellation. Verify the address, amount, and fee before sending.
What happens if I import the same wallet twice?
SatPak normalizes and compares the credential with existing wallets. If the wallet has already been restored, the app shows that it is already in My Wallets and includes the saved wallet name instead of creating a duplicate.
Why isn't my balance updating?
Check that Offline Mode is disabled, the device has a connection, and the selected Electrum server is reachable. A delayed SatPak API, Electrum server, or pricing provider can also temporarily delay the displayed data.
What can I scan in the send and import flows?
SatPak supports Bitcoin addresses and payment URIs, wallet import material, PSBT data, and compatible UR or BBQR QR payloads where the relevant screen offers them. Review decoded content before continuing.
How do I verify the app myself?
Inspect the public repository at github.com/devdasx/satpak, review the wallet, network, storage, and signing paths, and run the available checks locally. Public source improves reviewability; it is not by itself proof that an App Store binary is byte-for-byte reproducible.
Who audits the code?
The repository is available for public review. SatPak does not claim a formal independent security audit unless a specific published report is linked from the project.
What is SatPak designed to do well?
Stay focused on Bitcoin while supporting practical imports, multiple address standards, watch-only wallets, custom Electrum servers, offline mode, RBF, fee control, PSBT workflows, and QR exchange without adding unrelated token features.
