SatPak Terms of Use
In one sentence: SatPak is Bitcoin wallet software that uses local storage and connected services; you are responsible for credentials, transaction review, backups, and the risks of Bitcoin.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing, or using SatPak (the "app"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What SatPak is — and is not
SatPak is Bitcoin wallet software for creating, importing, monitoring, sending, and receiving on Bitcoin mainnet. It is not a bank, exchange, broker, investment adviser, custodian, or guarantee of access or recovery. Some connected workflows transmit wallet or transaction material as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Eligibility
You must have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction (18 in most places) to use SatPak. You may use the app only where doing so is lawful, and you are responsible for complying with applicable tax, sanctions, and export-control laws. Eligibility is your representation and responsibility.
4. Open source and license
Source code is available at github.com/devdasx/satpak for inspection subject to the notices and license terms published in that repository. Public source does not guarantee that every distributed binary is independently reproducible.
5. Self‑custody: your keys, your responsibility
You are responsible for securing every recovery phrase, passphrase, private key, PIN, backup, and device. Anyone who obtains a valid spending credential may control the funds. SatPak support cannot recreate a lost credential. Connected import, discovery, synchronization, and payment-building features can process credential or signing material; use Offline Mode or watch-only workflows when those limits better fit your risk model.
6. No recovery, no reversal
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Once broadcast, a transaction cannot be cancelled, refunded, or clawed back by SatPak or anyone else. We cannot freeze wallets, reverse mistakes, or recover funds sent to a wrong or hostile address. SatPak shows you the recipient, amount, and real network fee before you sign — verifying them is your responsibility.
7. Networks and fees
SatPak supports Bitcoin mainnet only. Bitcoin network fees are paid to miners, not SatPak. Congestion, fee changes, delays, reorganizations, and forks are outside our control.
8. Third‑party infrastructure
The app uses SatPak APIs, Supabase, Electrum servers, pricing providers, ipwho.is, Apple services, and infrastructure you configure. These services operate under their own terms and can observe request content and network metadata. Availability, accuracy, privacy, and continuity are not guaranteed.
9. Information, not advice
Prices, charts, and portfolio values shown in the app are informational, may be delayed or inaccurate, and are not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. You alone decide what to hold, send, and sign.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use SatPak to violate any law — including money‑laundering, sanctions, and terrorism‑financing laws — nor to interfere with, probe, or disrupt the networks and services the app relies on, nor to misrepresent the app or redistribute it in a modified form while calling it SatPak.
11. Assumption of risk
Bitcoin is volatile and can lose substantial value. Bitcoin, devices, networks, dependencies, services, and wallet software can fail or be compromised. By using SatPak you accept that loss of funds or access is possible.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON‑INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR‑FREE OPERATION. YOU USE SATPAK AT YOUR OWN RISK.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SATPAK'S CONTRIBUTORS AND MAINTAINERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF FUNDS, PROFITS, OR DATA — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, THE NETWORKS, OR THIRD‑PARTY SERVICES. IN AGGREGATE, LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP — WHICH IS ZERO. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where they apply, these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
14. App Store
The app is distributed through Apple's App Store, and your use must also comply with Apple's Media Services Terms. Apple is not a party to these Terms, has no obligation to provide support for the app, and is not responsible for it.
15. Changes to these terms
If these Terms change, the new version ships with the app and is published on this page, with the full revision history version‑controlled in the public repository. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the published open‑source license, are the entire agreement between you and SatPak regarding the app. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are governed by the applicable law of your country of residence to the extent its mandatory rules require, without depriving you of protections that cannot be waived by contract.
